初音ミク Hatsune Miku

If you said “What Anime is she from?” or “Is she a real singer?” you have two choices: jump off the cliff of ignorance, or, read this post.

Hatsune Miku 1

Artist unknown. If you have any info, please let me know =]

Hatsune Miku is a masterpiece created by the Yamaha Corporation, a Japanese company that’s been around for over 120 years, and designed by artist Kei. Their products are seen everywhere, and they kick ass. Instruments, synthesizers, motorcycles, speakers, watercraft, ATV’s, computer stuff. I have an electrical guitar and a few speakers by Yamaha. They’re awesome.

Now, Yamaha teamed up with Crypton to create something completely different. It’s called VOCALOID and it’s been out since 2004. Think of it as Garageband for the Mac, except instead of working with instruments, you work with computer voices sampled from actual Japanese singers. In short, VOCALOID is like Garageband for Otakus. =]

Most Famous Flat Tsunderes

A Tsundere is a play on two Japanese words: tsuntsun (ツンツン) and deredere (デレデレ) with tsuntsun meaning a person who is cranky, moody, mildly cruel, somewhat violent, somewhat bitchy and deredere a person who is affectionate, loving, sentimental. Combine the two and you have a Tsundere.

What is Eroge?

Eroge Thumb

Eroge is a portmanteau of the words: Erotic Game, translating to: エロチクゲム (Pronounced Erochiku Gemu) Eroge is basically a game with 18+ material, but with usually Anime-style artwork.
